John Ferguson

John Ferguson of Crawfordsville passed away Friday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Central in Lafayette. He was 83.
Mr. Ferguson was a farmer and woodworker who made birdhouses. He also worked for the state health department inspecting septic systems. He was a 1946 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School and a 1950 graduate of Purdue with a B.S. in agriculture. He served two years in the Army, stationed in Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1952.
Born September 30, 1928 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Orville L. and Agnes Fisher Ferguson. He married Mildred "Millie" Schrader in May 19 92 at Crawfordsville. She passed away in September of 2007.
Survivors include a step-son, James (Misty) Caldwell of Crawfordsville and two nephews, Randy (Patti) Beatty of Indianapolis and Rick (Laurel) Beatty of Kissimmee, Florida.
